Interesting. I liked the video and will have to give the music another go. Never listened to them much before. Who are they talking to?
Good question.
I blow a little hot & cold with the band myself, but have thoroughly enjoyed what I've heard from the new LP so far.
I am with SB here that was Ok. I may 'brush' the album
I sort of dismissed them after their first album, the constant 'Kids' airplay didn't help but this track is great.
I saw MGMT on their first UK tour in a venue where the audience chattered constantly throughout the show, taking selfies on their phones. When the band kicked into 'Kids' the crowd went bonkers for 5 minutes, then went back to talking for the remainder of the gig. Bloody irritating.
